NYFW F/W 2012 RTW | DVF

A sophisticated & chic while still fun & youthful collection by DVF and her collaborator, Yvan Mispelaere. The rich color palette made for a bold & bright collection which helped to highlight the impeccable fit & structure in some looks as well as the draping in others. And while there were still some DVF signature prints, they did not steal the show the way these other looks were able to do. I’d happily wear any and all of these looks, and I’m sure the DVF customer will look forward to wearing many of these during the fall/winter season.

Picked up these kicks while I was on a quick Target run this week.

Women’s Mossimo Paisley Platform Pump $29.99

Women’s Mossimo Pimota Chunky Pumps $29.99 Online

I found the black in my local Target on sale for $20.99, I couldn’t pass it up! I wore them to work the next day and got tons of compliments.

BCBG Max Azria RTW Fall 2012
The show notes at BCBG Max Azria cited Bauhaus style as a primary inspiration for Max and Lubov Azria’s fall collection. What they really meant was colorblocking, a trend they seized upon relentlessly on outerwear, straight silk dresses with long sleeves, jumpsuits with full legs and even furs.

Tuesday, boozeday.

I was invited by a dear friend of mine to take part in the live audience of the talk show she is on, “The girls”. She is a sorority sister of mine, so my other sister & I attended the show. We headed to Mea’s where we would watch the show while enjoying free appetizers and drinks! One free drink turned into four and well you could imagine how the night went. Let’s just say it was worth the hang-over I was dealing with this AM.

wearing black leather boots by Cole Haan (not pictured), J Brand jeans, white t-shirt by Abercrombie & Fitch (oldie but goodie), grey cardy from TJ Maxx, and gold chunky necklace from where else but the Treasure Chest.
